Hex-Loc
Information and answers to Your questions.

Q: What is Hex-Loc?

A: A "Cast in place Articulated Concrete Revetment" constructed on site and with lightweight Hex-Loc modules.

Q: What is Hex-Loc used for?

A: Hex-Loc is a heavy armament used to protect earthen slopes and channels from existing and potential erosion.

Q: What are the advantages of the Hex-Loc system?

A: The lightweight molds of the Hex-Loc system eliminate the danger of lifting heavy building materials. The ball and socket joint spacers allow for each block to have flexibility in a true three-dimensional lock. Large projects can be acomplished wiothout the use of cranes or large cumbersome cable mattreses. Once the Hex-Loc is filled with concrete is is permanently connected and assembled on site without grouted joints.

Q: How exactly does the Hex-Loc system work?

A: By interconnecting the hexagonal panels together with a moving joint system, Hex-Loc enables freedom of movement and shifting without the hassle of the blocks becoming disengaged from their initial position. (See Below)

Q: What is Hex-Loc used for?

A: Here are but a few of the projects Hex-Loc can be used for:
  • Pipeline Crossings
  • Slope Protections
  • Low Water Crossings
  • Bridge Abutments
  • Shoreline Protections
  • Culverts
  • Boat Ramps

Q: What is Hex-Loc comprised of?

A: The Hex-Loc module is two identical units and a polyethylene or stainless steel connector/spacer.
Some Assembly Required

The two units are then bound together using rebar tie wires to hold the module together during the pouring of concrete.
Assembled

The modules are assembled together by inserting the connectors/spacers into socket joints creating a mattress or matrix.

Q: Why is Hex-Loc right for you?

A: Hex-Loc is flexible, modular in construction, and allows for areas of vegetation to exist. It is cast in place at the job site, has reinforcement with high density Polyethylene spines, and when cast have intimate contact with the soil. Hex-Loc is your first and only alternative to ACB's or conrete Riprap. IF you would like more information Contact Us.
